Synergistic IT Strategy Created Using Digital Discovery®

Technology Strategy

The Challenge

Through multiple mergers and acquisitions, our client, a $1 billion IT services firm, had acquired more than 100 companies. Although they had performed some consolidation, there were still more than 20 operating companies, each having its own organizational structure, operations, processes, offices, data, and ERP instances. Our client lacked operational and systems alignment, limiting the synergies achievable between offices that in some cases were within the same geographic area with overlapping customers.

The Solution

Aspirant collaborated with the client to identify their core competencies and opportunities for synergy and highlighted the capabilities necessary for them to achieve and sustain maximum performance. Using a synergistic IT strategy, we defined an operational and digital roadmap for them to achieve a national service model, standardize on a single, cloud-based service delivery solution, and consolidate ERP instances to drive information transparency and leverage across the company.

The Results

  • Development of a cloud-based national service management platform.
  • Successful implementation of a new organizational structure and national operational model enabled through the new service management platform.
  • Consolidation of ERP systems to reduce redundancies, improve the quality of data, and streamline the work of their national operations footprint.
  • Elimination of redundancies and improving the quality and consistency of the service experience for the client's customers.
