Goff to Expand Talent Acquisition and People Development Capabilities While Leading Aspirant’s Commitment to Virtual Working
Aspirant, a global management and technology consulting firm, announced the hiring of Cathy Goff as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Goff was most recently VP of HR at Valicor, where she led the successful integration of new employees as company locations doubled.
In this role, Goff will focus on driving company recruiting to keep pace with growing market demand while further strengthening the company’s integrated expertise and enhancing interdepartmental support. This effort is aligned with Aspirant’s intention to maintain an exceptional experience for employees. The organization was recognized by the Pittsburgh Business Times as a Best Place to Work for 2020 and 2021.
As a new member of the growing executive suite, Goff reports to CEO Mike McClaine.
“Aspirant has achieved unprecedented growth because of our commitment to client success. One way we’ll continue to achieve this is through investing in employee development,” says McClaine. “Cathy will guide this critical area. Her demonstrated HR leadership within the M&A and private equity space aligns perfectly with Aspirant’s entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.”
Goff is already making an impact. Leadership has announced new policies to increase paid time off, parental leave, additional time off for bereavement and jury duty, and incentives for employee and sales referrals.
Michele Petruccelli, VP of Marketing & Innovation, welcomes Cathy Goff to Aspirant as part of the online video series Walk & Talk, which advises companies experiencing rapid growth on how HR can identify gaps and provide support.
“During the past 20 months, we have truly seen the importance of supporting employees both in and out of the office,” Goff says. “This feeling of workplace belonging has already increased performance and reduced turnover. As Aspirant continues to expand, my goal is to achieve a holistic and rewarding employee experience while retaining the values and culture that initially brought people here.”
The new CHRO role is part of Aspirant’s emphasis on organic growth, which includes improving the employee experience and driving revenue through organizational leadership. Earlier this year, the company appointed Dr. Amy Durgin as its Capability and Performance Lead. She provides company-wide support focused on competency modeling, career pathing, capability planning, and development programs.
