For the second year in a row, the Pittsburgh Business Times (PBT) named Aspirant as one of the Best Places to Work in Western Pennsylvania. Nominated companies were judged from the results of an online employee survey.
For Aspirant CEO Mike McClaine, this recognition marks how the company continues to surpass its goals.
“The Best Places to Work award demonstrates the engagement level of our employees and the collaborative culture we are building,” says McClaine. “Without a strong culture, the incredible growth we have enjoyed in recent years would not be sustainable. Our unique model, in which consultants have tangible client engagement, work across practices, and have access to senior leaders, is a significant reason talented consultants join Aspirant and stay for the long term.”
The company’s headcount more than doubled over the course of 2021. Chief Human Resources Officer Cathy Goff believes a primary reason candidates come to Aspirant is transparency.
“Aspirant’s executive suite has a level of accessibility that’s rare in our industry,” says Goff. “Our monthly company-wide meeting serves as a platform for two-way communication. New initiatives are launched and updates to current programs come directly from those leading them. We then open the floor to questions so every employee can get instant clarification from the CEO, CFO, or anyone else in the organization. This dedication to a team-oriented culture perpetuates an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation.”
The PBT also recognized Aspirant as one of Pittsburgh’s Fast 50 for 2021, based on a revenue acceleration of 52% between 2018 and 2020.
